After leaving my job in July 2008 I had decided to take some time off from work --- well that did not last long the boredom set in and I quickly began looking for a new project.
I didn’t have to look far- My niece Lisa had just the challenge for me! She had just recently moved and was looking to decorate her oldest son, Peyton’s bedroom… The challenge-Dueling football helmets! I am not the biggest football fan so I knew I was in for a bit of a challenge. I was given the task of making two giant helmets, one representing the Denver Broncos and the other for the Seattle Seahawks. With a little teamwork we were able to find the perfect color matches and I was off to work… After a few days I was ready for the Porter Family to take a look. Brad picked them up and was so excited, immediately all the stress went away, he seemed truly happy with the finished product. The next morning I got a call from Lisa and Peyton both thrilled with the way the helmets had turned out! It was that phone call that changed everything… Lisa told me that I have a very special talent and I needed to put it to some good use! After a lot of thinking and talking with my family Country Bum Creations was born! Your one stop Shop for crafts and home décor!
I have been hard at work for 5 months now – getting the business registered with the state, developing and making new and exciting projects and most of all meeting and reconnecting with family and friends both new and old. Now that the store is up and running I am looking forward to more fun and adventures!!!
I hope you enjoy my projects as much as I have enjoyed making them. If you would like to order any of my projects or take a class (monthly projects and class dates will be posted at the first of every month) please fill free to call me at 801-663-1906 or email me at little_mister@hotmail.com.
Last but not least, I want to thank my loving husband for all of his help but most of all for his support with getting the business going, I also want to thank both of my beautiful daughters Brandie and Danielle for all their love and support, but most of all for helping me with my craft boutiques and the open house. Thank you also to Brett, Josh and Tayeson for all their helping and letting me take their wives, fiancée and mother away when I needed all the help.
Thanks to everyone that has either taken classes or bought items at my boutiques it is nice to have such great family and friends.
Love,
Becky
